UAE’s Mubadala to open office in Moscow next week

MOSCOW, Nov 21 (PRIME) -- The United Arab Emirates’ (UAE) Mubadala fund plans to open an office in Moscow next week, Faris Al Mazrui, head of the office, told PRIME on Wednesday.

“Next week we are opening the office officially. The team is already here and is finishing final preparations so that the office is 100% ready by the moment of opening,” he said.

“We are now working on current investments and portfolio management. But we are also looking for new opportunities with the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) in many spheres. The energy sector is very important for us. The oil and gas sector is the strategic sector… We aim to raise our presence in the energy sector, as well as in other sectors.”
